Gather at the Farm
Sixty working acres in the Petaluma Gap — open barns, gardens, animals, and a long table under the stars. Bring your team somewhere they’ll actually remember.*
* Sonoma Hills Farm is a working, licensed cannabis farm, and guests can be walked through the growing operation itself — the greenhouse, the fields and the barn. There is no cannabis consumption anywhere on the property, and nothing is sold, sampled or handed out on site. All guests must be 21 or older with valid ID. The property also includes the chef’s garden, the orchard and pasture, and the animals that are part of how the farm runs.
For Teams & Companies
The Anti-Ballroom Offsite
Swap the hotel conference room for a real working farm. Sonoma Hills is a private estate built for groups that want their people to connect over something genuine — not another rented banquet hall.
We host team offsites and strategy days, client and partner dinners, board retreats, holiday parties, sales incentives, and small celebrations. Half a day or a full evening, a dozen guests or a hundred — every visit is private, hosted end to end, and shaped around what your group is after.
It’s an easy yes for the calendar invite: ten minutes from downtown Petaluma, an hour from San Francisco, and unlike anywhere your team has done a kickoff before.

The Film
Two Minutes at the Farm
Soil and sun, chefs and growers, the table and the fields. The shortest way to understand what your group is walking into.
A Real Farm — Not a Rented Field
Run by the French Laundry’s Gardener
Our gardens are led by Aaron Keefer, who spent a decade growing for Thomas Keller’s French Laundry. We work with dozens of chefs to grow heirloom vegetables and cut flowers, and raise heritage Mangalitsa pigs and Wagyu beef — the first licensed cannabis farm in wine country, and the first certified comparable-to-organic by the CCOF. That’s the backdrop your group steps into.
What’s Possible
Build the Day Around Your Team
Mix and match the pieces below into a half-day, an evening, or a full farm takeover. Every element is hosted by the people who actually run the place.
Team Offsites & Strategy Days
Open barns and quiet fields for the working part of the day, then a meal and a fire for the rest of it.
Farm-to-Table Dinners
A long communal table, candles, and a menu pulled from the garden that morning. The centerpiece of most visits.
Client & Partner Entertaining
Host the people who matter somewhere they can’t get a reservation. Intimate, private, and genuinely memorable.
Garden & Harvest Tours
Walk the rows with the growers — heirloom vegetables, cut flowers, and the plants that put us on the map.
Golden-Hour Receptions
Drinks, grazing, and live music across the property as the light drops and the stars come out over the gap.
Meet the Animals
Say hi to Tony the Highland cow, Samson the tortoise, the Mangalitsa pigs, and the hens. A favorite with every group.

The Table
Food and Herb Are the Whole Point
The dining program is what people remember. We cook with the chefs who already grow with us, so the meal is as close to the soil as a meal can get.
Heirloom produce cut that day, heritage pork and Wagyu raised on the property, flowers from our own rows down the center of the table. We shape the menu and pairings around your group, your dietary needs, and the season.

The Washington Post Came to Dinner
The Post traveled to the farm for one of our cannabis-and-food pairing dinners — chefs, courses, and the case for California’s appellation cannabis. Four minutes that say it better than we can.
Chefs Who’ve Cooked Here
You’re in Very Good Company
We grow for some of the best kitchens in the country, and many of them have brought their knives up the hill to cook at the farm — James Beard winners, Michelin alumni, and Top Chef names among them.
It means the food at your event isn’t catering. It’s the chefs who already know this soil, cooking what came out of it that morning.

The farm is not open to the public. Every visit is a private, hosted event arranged in advance.
California cannabis rules ask every guest to sign in and complete a short waiver. We handle it before you arrive or at the gate.
Farm-friendly attire and layers — there are animals, hay bales, sometimes mud, and beautiful but dark nights.
Ten minutes outside downtown Petaluma toward Bodega Bay, about an hour from San Francisco. We send directions, parking, and a drive playlist with your confirmation. Carpooling encouraged.
